It’s A Girl!!!
I have been anticipating my last appointment with the doctor for quite sometime. I knew, Lord willing, that we would find out if it is a boy or a girl. With hopeful expectation and a few nerves we found ourselves listening to the doctor tell us “I am 95% sure it is a girl.” Johnny and I looked at each other both with big smiles and I had to keep back tears. There is just something so soft and sweet about a girl. It’s been funny, as we’ve been awaiting this answer, to talk about and to the baby growing inside me. I think it’s funny how when we talk to babies or about babies our voices get higher and we have that baby talk style. Johnny started out this way and we laughed because he didn’t really sound like a strong masculine dad. He then began to talk to the baby very formal and as normal as possible always saying “hey baby, it’s your dad.” Once we found out it was a girl…all things changed. We both are totally into the soft sweet baby talk style. As much as we try to avoid it, we can’t! It’s been so fun to think about a the little girl and to pray for HER and what SHE be like. Utterly amazing!

I’m clapping my hands together in anticipation of what my little ‘missionary’ niece is going to look like in all the cute little outfits that I get to dress her up in! So incredibly happy for you my friends! She will be a lovely woman of God because of the influence of her parents!

Its a GIRL?!?!!??! Im teary reading this news! I so wish I could give both of you a great big hug, and then talk soft sweet talk to the little girl you are carrying. We should talk on skype soon. I miss you two–THREE!
